The Morris County General Public Transportation project is funded in part by the KDOT Public Transit Program. The program is governed by the Morris County Commissioners and is managed by the Morris County Clerk's Office.
Morris County's mission is to provide quality service for all residents of Morris County by doing our best to fulfill all requests for transportation. ALL RESIDENTS of Morris County are eligible to use this service.
Morris County Public Transportation is a demand response service. Riders usually call on Monday and schedule rides for the entire week or month. Medical appointments are typically scheduled several weeks or even months in advance to assure ride availability, especially if the appointment is out of town. All rides are scheduled on a first come first serve basis.
Morris County Public Transportation currently has four KDOT vehicles available to provide rides to county-wide residents. One KDOT vehicle is used for local trips in the Council Grove hub area, and the other three vehicles are on the road daily for out of county trips.
